Product Detail: Flat fins are used where cleanability is important or if fins are in the horizontal position in condensing service. At 500-600 Ft/Min face velocity, Flat fins offer improved performance at lower pressure drop. Over 95% of IHT's inlet chilling coils have been FLAT FINS! Configured fins offer improved heat transfer performance with low Reynolds Numbers (face velocities below 350 Ft/Min); but with an increase in pressure drop.
